CHSP Base Fund Grant for the Fair Work Commission Wages Increase

The Department of Health and Aged Care has opened applications for the CHSP Base Funding Grant Opportunity to fund CHSP providers to meet their legislative requirement to pay the new minimum award rates decided by Fair Work in the Aged Care Work Value Case.

Eligible CHSP providers can apply for the grant opportunity via GrantConnect from 17 October 2023 up until 2 pm (AEST) on 30 November 2023 and CI Group encourages all eligible members to apply.

This grant opportunity is a one-off payment to cover the shortfall in a CHSP provider’s existing 2023-24 grant agreement. A fact sheet on the new grant is available here.

Funding will cover the cost of increasing wages up to 15% to the new minimum award requirements and related on-costs in the 2023-24 financial year (FY). The grant has opened in response to the Fair Work Commission (FWC) decision to increase the minimum award wage by 15% for aged care workers from 30 June 2023. The Government committed $105.1 million in the 2023-24 Budget to support Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) providers to pass on increases to award wages and associated on-costs for eligible aged care workers.

This 3-hour session teaches modern strategic and innovative thinking skills that will revolutionise any planning process and ensure that your strategic or tactical plan is well-informed.

The workshop combines both theory and practical exercises to transform thinking about your organisation.

The session includes: reflecting on organisational metaphor, story, and narrative reconceiving products and services as customer solutions developing a detailed map of your organisational resources and capabilities identifying which resources can be better utilised identifying external forces, and developing a plan to respond.

The sessions will suit executives, senior leaders, and their board members who are considering how best to respond to impending reform and challenging operating conditions. We encourage two or more people to attend from each organisation to receive the greatest benefit from the workshop.
